Salt fish goes gourmet for 2009 - Fantastic recipes here...


For centuries people in the Caribbean have used salted cod in their meals - combining the popular fish with several different foods in their kitchens to create the mouth-watering national dish known as ackee and salt fish. Check out the results for the inaugural Seafood from Norway Culinary Challenge 2009, at Alhambra Inn!I have no idea why this has taken place in Norway...well, actually the article tells me why - but look at the recipes...so delicious! I love salt fish for breakfast with some soda bread, or lunch with a Carib, or even at night with, erm, some more Carib? Ok, maybe a Piton...or Red Stripe?

The Lone Star is one of my favourite restaurants in Barbados and this review is spot on, despite being rude about some of the staff...haha...I especially like what he says about Sandy Lane...hahahaha.

The People of Barbados Speak Out About Graeme Hall Closure

On November 9, 2008 over 8,000 people came to Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary in Barbados. These are a few of their thoughts. The Sanctuary is under risk of being built over. Currently closed, 85 employees have lost their jobs and there seems to be no resolution.
